Spaghetti Sauce Like Silk

SpaghettiSauce-3

There’s no other way to describe this than it goes down like chocolate silk pie and is just as good!

FROM THE KITCHEN OF ELLEN TEMPLAR

Chop one medium yellow onion and brown in a deep sauce pan in a small amount   of olive oil.

Add 1 & ½ lbs lean ground beef and brown.  Drain excess grease or pull grease with a baster.

Add 1 & ½ 15 oz. cans of tomato sauce and 1 15 oz can of diced tomatoes. Stir a lot.  You will stir regularly throughout the process.

Add:  ½ tsp Oregano

            ½ tsp Basil

            ½ tsp Salt

            ½ tsp Pepper

            2 tsp Chopped Parsley

            Mince Fresh Garlic to taste

(for variety you can leave out the garlic and add 1 tsp Sugar but we

                        Like the garlic)

            Stir a bunch!

THIS COMBINATION OF SEASONINGS IS THE SECRET TO THIS SAUCE AND I                 ADHERE STRICTLY TO THIS FORMULA.

Simmer on low (really low) for one hour.

After an hour, add and stir in one small can of tomato paste along with the same can of water.  Stir a bunch more!

Cover and simmer for at least another hour.  Or more.  The longer it cooks, the better it will be.  Reheating even after freezing will also enhance the flavor.
