Wind Fest in Florence, Oregon, is so named because it is often windy in Florence any time of the year. This summer the Port of Siuslaw is celebrating the beautiful summer weather, and the wind, with summer-long activities.

Coming from the south and crossing the Siuslaw River at Florence, will bring you to a sharp right turn that will take you into Old Town Florence. Due east of Old Town along the river front is the Port of Siuslaw Boardwalk and grassy area.

Just east of the boardwalk a ways is the Port of Siuslaw RV Park and Campground. This time of year is it difficult to book space so check with us at Umpqua River Haven for space if you are coming this way for the Wind Fest.

The Port is hosting “Wind Fest” starting in June and throughout the summer. There will be activities for the kids, plus live music and events for adults. Something for everyone on Friday and Saturdays and some Sundays. And, some surprises are planned.

There will be Coast Guard Boat tours, Smokey the Bear, clamming and crabbin’ and pirates !

There will be live music entertainment, kids dance contests and classic car shows.
